In this new type of scam, citizens receive a link via “WhatsApp” or SMS messages for alleged “verification” or “confirmation” of their “WhatsApp” account. If the user opens the link and follows the stated steps, they are at risk of losing control over their “WhatsApp” account.

Please pay special attention not to open suspicious links received through messages, and do not enter verification codes or personal data on unverified websites.
